Thank you Huffers for the cute towelI love my new towel, but I still hate taking baths.

Riley is very much a girl, the latest craze is nail polish. She loves to have her nails painted all the time, finger and toes! But the newest talent is painting others nails, here she is getting me all pinked up. (she was so careful, only got a few spots on my fingers, it was pretty impressive.)

getting a pic of Lex is not an easy task. For some crazy reason teens will not let their parents take their picture, but they will take 100 pictures of themselves, or let their friends snap away. So here is a typical teen picture, holding a camera (cell phone camera) out as far as they can reach and click... a self taken picture.

Riley now plays in her room all on her own, I often spy on her and listen to her talking to her dolls and stuffed animals. (always funny and cute) The other day I heard her say "lay down...close eyes...good girl" over and over again. I went in and saw her rubbing one of her dolls backs, and this is what her room looked like. Dolls and animals all asleep on the floor, this is what they do at daycare for nap time. I thought it was pretty funny.

In all the pictures I took, there was always someone with their eyes closed, or mouth wide open or the shot was just too blurry. And let me tell you, after a few snap shots, they were done taking pictures! They wanted to get away from the parents as fast as they could. Just the girls

I was lucky enough to have the girls get ready at my house, to see them all dressed up, tons of make-up and hair spray, glitter and glam. My house smelt so sweet too, lots of perfume. (at that age they all love the really sweet stuff) .... I feel a head ache coming on...

Later all the boys came to pick them up, so I got to take a few shots before they were off on their homecoming adventure.

LEXY

High School Volleyball, wow, where has the time gone? Not that long ago these girls were playing volleyball for the first time in 7th grade and they didn't know what they were doing. As parents we were just happy if they got their serves over the net and didn't cry in the middle of the game, today it is a different story. We sit on the edge of our seats: screaming, cheering, holding our breath, laughing about how aggressive our little girls have all gotten, etc... It's been fun.

Now the season is coming to an end, they have done quite well, and we will see if Lex plays basketball or does cheerleading....who knows with her.

Now that I am back in the working world, I have to have a babysitter, and once a week Riley goes to her cousins house (Emily and Kelly) another day it's Aunt Krissy's house and couple days at daycare or at home with Dad, and sometimes old Papa has to be the sitter. The good news is that she seems to love everywhere she goes, but for me, it's never easy leaving my child for the day.

So thanks to everyone for helping us during our hard times, it means the world to us. YKT

Whenever I am on the computer, Riley comes over to me and says "kitty-load, kitty-load" and points at the screen. She wants me to go to our favorite website, "Cute overload" yeah I know I talk about it all the time, but it truly is a great site, it makes you laugh, and feel all warm and cozy inside. It's nothing but cute animal pictures, this is one of the sweetest, I also have more on Sophie's blog, the blog for dogs. I know I am the biggest dork for having a blog for the dog, but it only takes a few minutes to add pictures, I just have to remember to take the time and add to it more often. Later peeps!

We tried to get a photo together, but it really isn't that easy. You know, someones eyes are always closed, or they have a funny look, so this is the best photo I have for the time being.

And plus I hate hate hate getting my picture taken, because "wow am I really that chubby"....yes, the camera does not add 40 pounds. So enjoy the pictures of me are very few and far in between.

The Hang out

For some reason, Riley and Sophie love to hang out in Lexys bedroom. If her door is left open those two are usually in there, even if Lexy is gone.

The skull was a request from Lexy, that is what she wanted me to paint on her walls. She knows I'm a sucker for painting, and in a year or 2 she will want something different and I'll paint it. I have already gotten a request to do one of her friends rooms. (mom's have to approve of course)

Ryan Stiles and Me

My girlfriend Kari performs at the Up Front Theater in Bellingham, they do improv, and make you laugh 'til it hurts. Anyways, I went to a show and Ryan Stiles was there, (this is his theater) I got to meet him and go out afterwards with him & all the funny performers. So being the huge dork I am, I made him pose with me and I had to use my cell phone camera (lame) but I got the shot, a fuzzy shot.

You may have seen him on Who's Line is it Anyways, Drew Carey Show, etc..?

oh I know that is so gross, but I couldn't help it. Really the sun was right in her eyes. Two wonderful daughters.

COWGIRL

We went to a cowboy party in Sequim, Chris and I are so not cowboys, so the easiest thing was to let Riley wear one of her favorite hats, a pink plastic cowboy hat. Sorry she doesn't have boots...yet.

This party was great, had a mini petting zoo, dunk tank, mini golf, lots of deep fried food, horse and buggy rides, and much much more.

Wow, summer has been crazy. We have been doing tons of running around, working on the house, and playing in this awesome weather.

The big house project is the remodel of the ugly, crappy lay out, main bathroom. We ripped everything out, drywall, shower, toilet, yeah everything, even the sub floor had to be replaced. (mold...ugh..gag..) But it is almost all done, I got beautiful glass mosaic tiles for the window area and the nook that will hold all the soaps. I am hoping for a spa like feel when you walk into my bathroom. I will have to post pictures when the work is done, and if I can find the before pictures I'll add those too.

My sister Kris and I have been working on our own business for the last few months. (an idea we have talked about for over a year) We are designing special lines of scrapbook papers. Our first line is the Zoo paper, a kit of 8 papers and a sheet of stickers. They will be available at Zoo Stores across the U.S.

Oh you never know what you'll get when you visit your aunt Krissy, this time around it was a patriotic sting bikini. A must when you're an all American girl.

We started out the 4th by going to a parade, then played out in the sun and splashed around in a kiddy pool. This evening we are going to go light off all of our illegal fire works because the legal ones are too boring. Thank you G-Pa and Jimmy for spending all you hard earned money at the "real" Fireworks stand on the reservation.

Riley loves to go to Emily and Kelly's house, (2 of her favorite cousins) They have a giant trampoline and plenty of dollies to play with, a little girls heaven.

Now that she has learned about jumping, I can't get Riley to stop, she gets up on my bed and jumps, on the hard wood floors she tries to jump, and while she is jumping she yells UMP... UMP... UMP! I have one little monkey jumping on my bed, lets just not break our head.

A childhood memory, This is a sketch done by my uncle Alan, who is sitting pretty in the jungle of Puerto Vallarta with a gaggle of mangy mutts. This was done for a invitation to one of Chuck and Alan's New York loft parties. (they always threw the best parties.)
